Year 6 Transition 2019-2020

I have created this page to help with the smooth transition to Cwmtawe ready for September which will hopefully ease any worries you may have.

Transition arrangements during Covid – Message from Mr Rogers

Bore da,
I’m going to create a video to present an overview of the school, which is normally done on our Introductory Parents’ Evening at this time of year. As part of that, would it be possible to ask Y6 what they are most worried about?
These usually cover things like:
Will I be in a class with my friends?
What happens if I get lost?
Will I get detention for forgetting my homework?
As the video is going on Youtube, I need your consent/permission to film your child.
If you do not wish your child to be filmed can you let me know when your child comes into their Bubble this week please. Also can you start to think of some relevant questions which you would like to ask and find out.
Thanks Mrs Moran

Crucial Crew transition activities.

At this time of year, we would normally be going on our annual Year 6 Crucial Crew visit. However, this year unfortunately we are not able to but the RNLI have put together some of the activities you would have normally done.

The RNLI who have raised concerns regarding the current trend for river bathing and tombstoning which has been popular given the recent good weather. They have provided a link to resources which they would like to share with you as it is so relevant at the moment and all linked to the National Curriculum.
