It has been an absolute pleasure to teach your children since the start of term. They have all been so thoughtful and responsible; respecting the new social distancing rules at School which helps us all to stay safe.
In class we’ve been super busy. The children have been brushing up on their handwriting skills. Exercising their mathematical muscles, focusing on mental strategies in addition and subtraction, including the use of a robust understanding of place value.
In English we’ve been exploring non-chronological reports and their features. Next week, the children will be planning and writing their own report on an animal. Thanks to all who have completed research at home as part of the homework task. Any further information you can research this weekend will really support your child for the report writing sessions.
Our topic work is absolutely fascinating and the children have been fully engaged as we learn about World War 2.
